Trust yourself “your inner
compass.
Have
you ever said to yourself?
“If only I had trusted
my instincts “
“My intuition was telling
me not to, but I went ahead anyway”
“I had an uneasy feeling
but I didn’t pay enough attention to it “
Trusting
yourself is a vital component to living and achieving success. You have all the answers inside you The best way to learn how to consistently
trust yourself is through what you learn.
When you don’t trust yourself and through your successes when you do. You
have all the answers inside you. The
more you trust yourself, the easier your life will flow.
Take that Risk
Risk
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool
To weep is to risk appearing
sentimental
To reach out for another is to risk involvement
To expose feelings is to risk exposing
your true self
To place ideas & dreams before a
crowd is to risk being called naïve
To love is to risk not being loved
in return
To live is to risk dying
To hope is to risk despair
To try is to risk failure
But risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life
is to risk nothing
The person
who risks nothing does nothing has nothing, and becomes nothing. They may avoid
suffering and sorrow but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love,
live. Chained by their certitude, they
are slaves, they have forfeited their freedom.
Only
a person who risks is truly free. Janet
Roud
Success
is about having the courage to take risks.
Take time now to make the list of all the risks you have been avoiding
or you wanted to take. Ask yourself what’s been keeping
you from taking them. Keep this
list in a handy place, as I will be introducing
you to a concept that will make you, your risk
taking much easier “Even
if you are on the right
track, you will get run over if you
just sit there”
Filling the form step by
step
A good way to make your risk is to practice “filling the form”. It means doing what come next, which is usually something small, rather than jumping
ahead to what’s down the road
which is usually something much larger
that what you are ready for
and where the stakes are too high.
Choose
a risk you wanted to take, either big or small. It can be creative risk, a business risk or a relationship risk. Start filling the form by:-
(a)
Looking at where you are now and where you want
to be.
(b)
Breaking the risk down into small manageable
baby steps.
(c)
Deciding to take each small step if it still
too much of a stretch.
Filling
the form is a tool that gives you a sense of comfort, order and doability when taking a risk.
How to define your true
success
Whose
success are you living? Is it yours or it is somebody else? Someone else might
be your family, society, the media , teachers,
employers, If you are living
someone else’s definition
of success then it’s not true
success. Success is a process and a feeling. Its a warm glowing feeling inside
about who I am, what I do and how I am living. Answer
these questions:-
(a)
What does success means to you?
(b)
What do you really want in your life?
(c)
What above else, is most important to you?
Then
take the essence of all these
answers and put them into
a single statement that statement is your
definition of true success.
