Self promotion is important constituent of career
management. People who announce their achievement , attract attention. But when self promotion sounds to bragging,
the effect reverses.
An employee cannot afford
to assume that others will notice his work because he is doing it well. He has to promote himself to obtain due
recognition and rewards. You need
to let people knows
what it is that you are doing, the success your are having, the obstacles
you have overcome, the projects
you are completing. So that when
those lay off are being contemplated you come to mind as a person they need.
Professional success of an employee depends on how well he
can promote himself. Employees usually
falls under one of the two categories, those who are humble, and those you are
not as humble. With right approach to work and right communication, self
promotion can be carried out gracefully.

expertise in a particulars area related to your job

routine tasks.

group’s success, making a copy to your Boss. This would project you as a good
team members and it would encourage your team members to promote you in return.
Network
Prepare a short story of what you are
and of your achievement to share with people you meet. Keep it concise and clear while giving
sufficient information.
Present in a way that it generates
interest in other person to know more about what you do.
Make sure
what you talk is authentic.
