Art of Persuation & Negotiation



Art of persuasion defines  effective  persuasion  as a negotiating  and learning  process where  the persuader  leads  his  subject  towards a shared  solution.

Effective persuasion is three stage processes of learning planning and negotiation.  The suggested method to go about is as follows:- 

            (a)       Learning 

Learn about your audience, their opinions, perspectives, concerns and expectations.

By directly talking to the other person or gathering information from others.   
   
            (b)       Planning 

                        Plan a strategy based on collected information

Consider factors like attitude and preferences of the person, your relationship with him and his limitations.
                      
   
                        Prepare ground for negotiation by:-

                                    Doing favors and to seek return favor
                                    Seeking support before negotiation
                                    Appreciating the person to influence him
                      Obligate by making use of his past actions and speech or work

While negotiating, be open to accommodate other ideas.  It involves demand and compromises.  Suggest mutually acceptable engagement.
