1. Living in the moment is a mental skill,
a matter
of training the mind and it means it can be learned.
The most
effective way to accomplish a lot is to do one
thing at a time and do it well.
2. Efficiency comes from complete
concentration
on one thing at a time even when one has to manage
several tasks.
The secret of unbroken flow of attention
characterizes peak performance.
3. “Hurry sickness syndrome” of time driven
behavior is closely associated
with heart disease. It
includes “poly
phasic thinking”, not just trying to do
many things in too little time, but
trying to think several
think at once.
4. Type a Behavior- is a continuous struggle to
accomplish more and more things in less and less
time, frequently in the face
of opposition, real or imagined
from other person. Driven by aggressive need to compete.
5. Type B Behavior- Slowed down, more patient
and find meaning, love and rich
relationship in life.
We don’t have to
change the circumstances around us;
we simply need a mind that is quiet, calm
and kind.
6. Every moment is a door way to meaning,
purpose
and joy. The key is unharmed
mind. It is not enough to be
busy; the
question is what are you busy about?
7. I realized that the people I know who
seemed happiest
were often uneducated and unknown. Happiness has nothing
to do with possessions,
position, wealth, social status or
anything else outside. A village teacher could be as happy
as a
cosmopolitan professor. Fulfillment did
not come from
any particular activity, place or circumstances. Perhaps
it really could only be found within.
8. Your own gums are better than someone’s
teeth.
Follow your star.
9. Living completely in the present is the
secret of
an unhurried mind. When the mind
is not rushing about
in a hurry it is calm and alert and ready for
anything.
A calm mind sees deeply which
opens the door for
tremendous discoveries, rich relationships, excellence in
work,
a quiet sense of joy.
