Employee counseling

In times of distress, counseling helps staff beat panic.  Employee counseling is service offered to employees where fears and problems are addressed.  Be it related to health, personal life or work place. It involves listening, understanding empathizing, consoling, counseling guiding, sharing and problem solving.

It is multifaceted and involves more than one session.  During these session employees can ask questions, discuss their ambitions, seek information or just blur out their problems.

A good employee’s counselor must have requisite trails such as empathy, consideration and no prejudice/bias.  He must be a patient listener.  He must build a comfort zone and respect the employee’s perspective and not overwhelm him with advice.

Most important aspect, maintain confidentiality. Counseling is not an additional service but is an integral part of human resources management.

Success of an organization depends on its work force.  Hence ensuring physical emotional and mental well being of employees is an inevitable task.

This help in building a healthy work atmosphere and in identifying the shortcomings of the management.
