Mentoring is the Best way to Better Growth

Greater visibility, prestigious assignment and
promotions are the expectations of executive
from mentors.

To gain maximum benefits from mentoring
programmes, it is important to manage
relationships properly. Success of mentoring
depends on trust.  Greater affinity between them,
they are more willing to work together.

Small friction can cause unwarranted level of
differences.

Forcing the subordinates to put in extra hours,
delegating his own work to subordinates, work
with scare resources and all these under the
guise of improving efficiency will defeat the purpose
of mentoring.

Mentoring also fails when subordinates rely too
much on the mentor, the mentor being too officious,
and the mentor and employee being jealousy of each
other position.

Rules of living

Never put off till tomorrow, what you can do it
today.
Never trouble another, what you can do it
yourself.
Never spend your money, before you have it.
Never buy you do not want, because it is cheap.
Pride costs us more than hunger, trust, and cold.
We seldom repent having eaten so little.
Nothing is troublesome, what we do willingly.
How much pains the evil have caused us which
never happened.
Take things always with the smooth handle

Individual Motives

 Individual Motives

The right team is made by right individuals.  The team leader has to get the right man for the right job.  If an error is made in the selection of key members, the team cannot accomplish the mission.

The interest of any individuals in a team should never exceed the interest of the team.  Any individuals having potential to go by his interest only should not be included in the team or rather be dropped in case team  wishes to succeed.

The best man for accomplishing the task may not be the one with the best capability or seniority, but the one with the greatest respect and commitments for the task and the team.

Ways to get along with Everyone

Before you say anything to anyone, ask yourself three things:-

(a)          Is it true?
(b)          Is it kind?
(c)          Is it necessary?

Make promise sparingly and keep them faithfully.

Never miss the opportunity to complement or say
something encouraging to someone.

Refuse to talk negatively about others, don’t gossip and
don’t listen to gossip.

Have a forgiving view of people, believe that most people
are doing the best they can.

Keep an open mind, discuss but don’t argue (it is
possible to disagree without being disagreeable).

Forget about counting to ten.  Count to thousand
before doing or saying anything that could make matter
worse.

Let your virtues speak for themselves.

If someone criticizes you, see that if there is any truth
to what he is saying, if so make change.  If there is no
truth to the criticism, ignore it and live so that no one
will believe the negative remarks.

Cultivate your sense of humor; laughter is the shortest
distance between two people.  Do not seek so much
to be consoled, as to console.  Do not seek so much
to be understood, as to understand, Do not seek so
much to be loved as to love.
