MEET AND DEFEAT THE INTIMATE ENEMY

·         There are different people inside of you and that they take turns being in control.

·         We are multiplicity of selves is critical to recognizing and ultimately defeating the intimate enemy. None of us is a singular as a whole person. Each of us is a plurality made up of many selves, but convinced we are a singularity. At any moment different self can take the stage.

·         Each is no more than the creation of temporary conjunction of conditions.  “Temporary person in charge “or TPIC to describe them. For one minute to the next our values and desires can change depending upon which TPIC is in control.

·         Each TPIC remains ignorant of the existence of the others. As a result, the division within our self becomes deeper give rise to more unconscious discomfort.

·         We must see clearly that our false nature is a multiplicity that only believes itself to be a singularity. This is the most vital spiritual discovery.

·         Man has no permanent and unchangeable I. Every thought, every mood, every desire, every sensation says “I”. And in each case it seems to be taken for granted that this “I” belong to the whole, to the whole man, and that a thought, a desire or an aversion is expressed by this whole.

·         The awareness that we live is an unawakened state from a multiplicity of diverse self brings about the end to all these temporary person who take charge of our lives. As the whirling, changing selves begin to fade, which they must do in the light of our growing awareness of them. Something real, something peaceful begins to reveal itself to us from within us.
